Sometime before the Zariman returned to prime space, Yua was alerted to an anomalous extradimensional reading in an isolated region of Saturn Proxima, and the Lotus advised her to investigate. After boarding a wrecked Grineer galleon and a long running battle, Yua reached this anomaly, an intense spherical energy field, but found she could not get any readings with her codex scanner. The Lotus suggested that entering the field should be safe for a Tenno void-walking. Yua entered the field, and was buffeted by intense energy currents. When she reached the center, she found that the internal space of the anomaly was larger than the external dimensions of the energy field, and that she could not communicate with the outside world. She found a small device at the center of the field, but when she touched it, the field instantly imploded. Yua found herself suddenly in a large chamber, laying on the cold floor. She could not see far, as she was at the focus of several large spotlights. She

Tenno OC Profile: the Suh-Russol Sisters
The Suh-Russol sisters, identical twins Ahia and Miá, along with elder Aná have a special bond among the Tenno. Despite the Orokin's efforts to keep them separated, it quickly became clear they had some kind of link. It was found that they had the ability to ride one another's transference stream and, because transference is innate, this gave them a sort of telepathy. While they are distinct individuals, this link allows them to essentially operate as a single mind, which became a versatile asset during the Old War. While the sisters were given separate Orbiters like all Tenno, they frequently coordinated their efforts, either by direct on-site cooperation, or by coordinated simultaneous attacks across the system. Every step of their life since the Zariman has been walked in unison, whether they're anywhere near each other or not. While Aná has always been bold and outspoken, the younger twins have always been quieter and meeker, and tend to follow their elder sister's lead, and their
Some time after The Sacrifice, Yua met with an assemblage of Tenno to plot strategy against the Sentients. After the meeting, she crosses paths with Ethan Collins, whom she remembers from the Zariman. In fact, they were in a relationship at that time, but both find that their feelings for one another have been forgotten along with most everything else. Nonetheless, they agree to spend time with each other, and, in time, their feelings return. A time later, Yua. Ethan, and a couple other Tenno embarked upon a mission aboard Yua's Railjack, the Solstice II. While on a boarding operation, Cy informed the party that enemy forces were converging on the ship, and advised that the current crew may not be equal to the task. Ethan, piloting a Gauss, elected to return to the Solstice, but the situation was unexpectedly resolved before he reached the airlock, so he doubled back to rejoin the other Tenno. En route via Rush, he was caught off guard when the Sentients revealed their refitted

04.22.22 She may not remember, but little Ai Yua isn't like the other children, and not just because she is something of a savant: she was born Orokin. Big arm, blue skin and everything. House Ai once had a seat on the ruling council: it is said six of the seven would wait to see how Ai voted. But, by the time Yua turned eleven, intrigue had taken their influence away. Their enemies made their move, and house Ai was stripped of its status. Most were executed for fabricated crimes, including Yua's adult sister and brother, and even her troublemaking kid sister. Yua and her parents were spared thanks to what little influence the Ai had left. They were surgically and genetically altered to become human and banished... ...to Earth, some dusty town in what is now southern Ukraine (this came to me BEFORW [sic] the ongoing conflict). Eventually, as the Zariman Parade was prepared, the Ai's last ally pulled one last favor. He convinced the Seven that they were best off w/ the Ai as far

Tenno OC profile: Ai Yua (Updated)
Ai Yua is unique among the Tenno: she used to be Orokin. As a child, it quickly became clear she had a gifted mind. She learned to play the violin, piano, flute, and mandachord by the age of five, and was solving basic quantum equations by ten. She had everything a girl her age could want: when asked what she wanted for her birthday, she would ask for a surprise, because she couldn't think of anything she wanted. Until her family fell out of favor. The Ai were very influential in their time, but intrigue took its toll. When Yua was thirteen, the Orokin ruling council voted to eject her house from high society. Much of her family were executed outright for various imagined crimes, including Yua's elder brother and sister, and even her five-year-old kid sister. Yua and her parents, being too squeaky clean for even fabricated crimes, were genetically and surgically altered to become human, then exiled to Earth with nothing but the clothes on their backs. While Yua and her parents were

I hate traveling at night. Liam was barely clinging to consciousness, only just kept awake by the raging frustrations swimming about in his mind, and by the rhythmic jostling of his horse's hoofbeats. Or were the hoofbeats lulling him further to sleep? He wasn't sure anymore. This territory was dangerous to travelers, or so he had been told, so he was making haste to clear these woods as quickly as possible. He didn't know much about this region. Then again, the world Outside was still somewhat unfamiliar to him, despite his wanderings. Why did I ever leave? Lords know his life Inside was enough to satisfy all but the most spoiled of nobles. Even the life of the average citizen of Aurelia was of a much higher standard than that of most any Outer. Inners and Outers - that's how the whole world thought of itself, resentment on both sides. And no matter how long he spent Outside, Liam would always be an Inner. Aurelia's thick walls were an impermeable barrier, physically and socially.

Fantasy Species Profile: Qappa
The Qappa (Qappa themselves pronounce the Q as a click, humans use a K) are an ancient humanoid race. They have birdlike legs and feet, cleft lips, and low-set catlike ears. Their eyes tend to be gold or green, but can also be blue or brown as well as shades between. They are taller than humans, although this is due to the structure of their feet: head to ankle, they are the same size as the average human. The nomadic, tribal Qappa were once largely peaceful, but they have reacted with hostility to the rise of humanity. They tend to despise humans, as humans seek to build environments that isolate them from nature. They see humans as unnatural, a tending to usurpation, destructive, and greedy. Many Qappa tribes have taken to regular raids on human settlements, and this practice is becoming an integral part of Qappa culture as a whole. This has provoked a reciprocal, hostile reaction from human communities, which only feed the Qappa's low opinion of the human race.

Fantasy Species Profile: Einu
The Einu (ee-noo) (also known as Dawnkine) are among the most ancient races in the world, predating even Elves. Reclusive and widely unknown to other races beside the Elves and the savage Qappa, the Einu are peaceful and deeply spiritual, but also strong-willed, proud hunters, and are more than capable of defending themselves in a fight. They are not truly immortal, but they do not experience natural aging, and, as such, can live forever. They stop aging at around their thirtieth year, although it is not unknown for an individual to lose hair color at ages above 500. For the most part, they experience eternal youth: an Einu man of 1,000, placed next to a thirty-year-old child will appear more like a sibling to humans. While their longevity is limitless, the Earth is a dangerous, violent, difficult place to live in, and most Einu fall prey to its hazards by the age of 300. Einu spirituality centers around the River: a flowing conduit of life-energy that is manifest in a very real

Warframe's Man in the Wall scares me more than any other villain ever has. I can't think of another fictional antagonist that scares me anywhere near the way he does. Every time I hear that "hey, Kiddo" on the Orbiter I panic. It's the idea of the Indifference that gets under my skin. He's not necessarily evil or malicious, just curious and completely alien, and what we've seen is the only way he knows how to learn about our world. The idea of "no hard feelings," coupled with his inherently ethereal nature and his doppelganger manifestations just creates this truly ominous feel that simply terrifies me. Like "nothing good can come of this," give me Vecna/Henry/One any day. He's just a normal, everyday "burn it all down" bad guy. Wally? God knows what he wants, if he really wants anything. THAT is scary. It's proper Hitchcock stuff: Alfred Hitchcock said that true horror was all about what you didn't show the audience, the question is always scarier than the answer. And the
Death Stranding has been on my mind ever since Zeronis posted a female Higgs fanart on Twitter (i have surmised, she has a gold mask, and evidently that means Higgs), but it has NEVER been on my radar. Everyone seemed to love it, but from what I heard, it was basically just a guy carrying a baby in a bottle across a bleak landscape. Just didn't sound remotely interesting. Then, I started hearing about the coming sequel, and now I'm doing a big double take. There's a baby wedged in a birth canal somewhere, weird enough that she seems to have crude oil coming out of her eyes, but then she burps out A SPACESHIP. There's what looks like a zombie autopsy, which of course doesn't end well. Elsewhere an oily guy with no eyebrows shoots lightning bolts out of a guitar to take out bad guys. There's this quietly sultry lady in a beret, gotta love that, nothing *weird* there, until you find out that the gloves draped over her shoulders have a life of their own! And if that wasn't whimsical enough, she hands someone a talking marionette who asks not to be hung off his belt next to his ass. And the big guy doesn't seem to think any of this is that strange. WTH have I been missing??
